Just a quick note to say that while on my brisk lunch walk by the Seattle Sound I saw a Harbor Seal!!! A real, live, WILD seal!!!! They are hanging around more cause the salmon are starting to come home.
Hee hee!! I know ocean critters live here but to SEE and SMELL them on such a daily basis is just not in my eye or nose vocabulary. I am sure people in these here parts would be just as shocked to see a cow or elk. At least in the city. :)
As far as I know, there aren't any pods of dolphins that travel in the inner waters outside of the ocean, but I know there are several pods of porpoise which are really sweet and of course, very dolphine like. They are in the same family! We saw them on our whale watching trip, spotted-bottlenose or something like that. They are usually a lot darker in color and not as big as dolphins...dolphins, sigh. I love them, I think we speak the same language:)
And i know i know C, I just about giggled myself out of my chair when I read that...your too cute, I want to hear about all your adventures of living there, besides. I'm just jealous. I have to pull your pigtails a little, you know!

Scratches head...yes, marine animals live near the ocean:) LOL...sorry couldn't help it! LOL
Did you know that Washington State has a large Bald Eagle population, whereas to see one in Colorado is quite rare...pretty cool huh?
Wonder if they have dolphins here?
