10. (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 6 (f) 1
Now add up the total number of points.
OVER 60 POINTS : Others see you as someone they should "handle with care." You're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is extremely nt. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.
51 TO 60 POINTS: Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile,
rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.
41 TO 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up ! and help them out.
31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful and practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over it if that trust is ever broken.
21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.
UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always want someone else to make the decisions &who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some people think you're boring. Only those who know you well know that you aren't.
This is the journal of my life.

The Wedding
As told a month later.
It might take several posts to get this all down, so bear with me. On June 29th Dane and I got up at about 2:30 to get ready for our trip. I got dressed all pretty in my cute red top, cream colored capris and fabulous red shoes. We were picked up by a Lincoln Town Car by 4:00 am and taken to the airport. No drama getting down to Mexico and we arrived on time around 2 pm. Our transportation had ice cold Pacificos waiting for us as we took the drive downtown to get our blood tests and sync up any last minute details with Coca, our wedding coordinator.
We arrived at our BEAUTIFUL resort, Dreams, by about 4 pm. My parents and Nick and Jacob were there and RB/TJ were checking in. There was a little drama with the check in as Dreams didn't have all the reservations correctly listed (they even had our name as Gordon, not Ewers or Huish). After much crying and sobbing and RB even stepping in to save the day we were able to clear up the mess for the evening but Dreams still needed to work on the checkout days for 2 of our guests. So we went to dinner, took a walk on the beach w/ my dad, then met up with the others and hung out at the bar and had a smashing good time. We stayed out till after 2 playing games (Taboo) in the lobby bar and enjoying the Mexican evening.
Saturday we spent the entire day at the pool drinking wonderful drinks and having fun in the sun. Since Dreams didn't have the reservation name for HG and MR correct, I never received confirmation that they had arrived. About 2 hours after their expected arrival time I started getting really worried but luckily found them. One of our guests had had a little too much to drink and so we were laughing and having fun with them - it was great to see them let down their hair. We ended up eating dinner and having another great night drinking and splashing in the pool.
Sunday we all traipsed into town for our "in-lieu-of-rehersal-dinner-pirate-booze-cruise" on a real pirate boat. From what I understand from our guests, this was the single most fun event. We got to tool around the Cabo shore on the pirate boat (some of us even dressed as pirates), go snorkeling in FREEZING cold waters (who knew July was the time where everything was the coldest?!), eat fantastic food, enjoy fun games, and even swing off the side of the boat into the water from a rope! Great times. After the cruise we all went our separate ways to take care of whatever we needed to. By the time the evening came around, half the guests were too tired to make it to the bachelor/ette party. This actually worked out well as it gave me a chance to spend some quality 1:1 time with Amy and Bryan - who is AWESOME! We had a BLAST at Cabo Wabo - I can't even remember everything that happened - there was a cock roach, doing the "butt", lots of shots and beer, a fantastically gay guy doing a Broadway show dance in the cage, tons of fun. After the bar we went to the local strip club and confirmed that Mexican strippers are not happy. They never smile whilst doing their thing. Around 3 am it was time to go, so we collected Jacob from a stripper and poured Puppy (drunk Nick) into a cab and went home. Good times.
That's a good point to stop for now. :-)

Someday
Someday I'll post on the wedding. Things have just been so busy. I do want to post soon before the tiny details slip my mind. I always like going back and reading my entries years later, so this isn't something that I'll blow off.
AND I have a scathing blog to write about a certain so-n-so who shall be nameless....for now.

Wedding photos
We are having a difficult time getting the pictures formatting in a way that I can post. The following pics are the only pics I have received in a manner that is condusive to posting on the net. :-)

Dane and I getting legally married by the Mexican judge and translator. We figured we might as well dress it up and make it fun. And what better way to dress up a wedding than to dress as pirates.

The Mexican judge was so tickled at our pirate gear that she requested a group photo and then asked that we send it to her so she can have a copy for her office. She was very excited to say that she married pirates.
Here's a shot of us exchanging our vows at what we consider our "real" wedding.

Pastor, who's known me through thick and thin since I was 8 years old, praying for us at the ceremony. Amazing.

Married!
Well I have a few minutes to blog. I'm feeling pretty sick so all last night and today I've been in bed. After this I'm going to try my luck at the pool, we'll see.
Anyhoot - there have been a few hang ups and VERY tense moments (none of the reservations for us at Dreams were correct, including Dane and I, then we thought that HG and MR didn't make it because they had them under the name Herberth (HG's new nickname) so we though for sure their plane crashed) but other than that things have gone okay. I got spirit gum and blood on my wedding dress. They threw out our wedding cake so I didn't get any because I was too full to eat it at the wedding. But all in all it was a glorious day and it has been nothing but fun, amazing times. The people who are here have absolutely loved the resort and are even talking about coming back for our first anniversary!
I'll have more details and pics later about the wedding. I'm still in vaca mode and sick. Tonight is our last night at Dreams then we move downtown to the pirate resort. OH! Our pirate wedding went very well, the judge was tickled and even asked us to send her a photo (she insisted we all take a group photo w/ her in it). My buddies all dressed up in their piratey best - it was AWESOME!!! The pirate booze cruise was fun too, I'll have to blog about that more when I have pics to show. Poor HG and my dad got sick.
The sooprise for my mom went very well, she was surprised by my dad getting on bended knee and proposing again and then they renewed their vows right then and there. I was able to find/make a beautiful 2 carat ring for her that she can't stop looking at. Good times.
So after tonight it's "officially" our honeymoon and we are looking forward to spending some quiet time on the beach and at the pool. We probably wont spend too much time downtown, though we do want to do some jet skiing, maybe some horsebackriding. On Monday we are going Baja racing with the sand buggies - Dane's going to get his arse kicked! I wouldn't mind doing some skydiving either.
Well - that's it for now. It feels different being married. I love it though. And I couldn't have asked for a better man.

T-Minus Seven Days and Counting
Wow - only 7 more days of singledom. I had a big plan to have one last fling in PDX but in the end chickened out. I'm going to pretend like it's because I had a choice and not so much a lack of opportunity. :-P But even if I was presented with an option to have "one last fling" I don't think I would have. And that was a turning point for me. Up until now, even though I live with Dane and we share our life together and if either of us ever compromised this relationship we have it would be ugly, it hasn't really hit me that "this is it". In my mind I've always thought that there could be others and I've even convinced myself that I could/would want others. But this weekend it was solidified. I want Dane. I was so happy to go home to him. I had a blast in PDX, it was a great time and Zac's mom is hysterical, but my life, my heart, my soul is with Dane.
So I realize that and smile cause that's a nice kind of security, ya know. And I'm humbled by the experiences of my other best friends, some are hurting, some are losing, some are sad cause their man is miles away. No matter what, I have to recognize that what I have is deep, special, once in a lifetime.
Then it hits me - this really is it. At least I hope it is. I don't want to go through the pain of a divorce. I know it is it, perhaps that's why it's so scary.
I just asked Dane if he was sure he didn't want a last fling. He asked how I could possibly provide that for him. I suggested he look in to any opportunities he might have been neglecting. To which he said there aren't any...that are neglected. *Marge noise* I didn't know those were the rules!!
So I guess I'll get married without my last fling.
In tactical news, I've been busy and this week is no joke. I've got to get my dress, get some last minute shopping items (lingerie, pantyhose, pumps, clutch, accessories, nice outfit, so on), doctor appointment, hair appointment, go to the bank, drop the foster kitties off, and all sorts of other nonsense. Thursday night we have an early night since we have to leave for the airport at a horrible hour in the am. I still need to do some laundry and pack. I'll do that on Thursday since I have the day off. Tonight we got our hands and feet all cleaned up and then went to the naked spa (for HG's b-day).
Dane says I have cold feet.

Fremont Pics
I downloaded some parade pics to my MySpace page, check it out.
So last week was crazy busy getting ready for the parade. All the way up until Friday night HG and I were sewing and stitching and braiding and primping. We got up bright and early Sat morning to get ready. We were running late, in fact so late that I passed up a RARE DOUBLE SIDED FRONT (!) BUMPER GNOME!!!! I almost cried. It was horrible.
Anyway - we got to the parade and parked and drank our wine, I mean SoBe green tea *wink* and prepared to entertain the crowd. It was a beautiful day and a great parade - lots of fun. Dane stole the show though, as he usually does in his Anubis costume.
After the parade and true to yearly tradition we had a party back at the house where everyone let their hair down and took their wigs off. I'll have to post those pics another time. It was one of the best get-togethers we've ever had at our house.
Sunday was Die Hard Extravaganza day, which was really just an excuse for Dane and I to stay planted on the sofa. Good times.
This and next week are busy putting the final touches on the wedding such as: touch up on lip tattoo, Dr. Egrari appointment (I have a stitch poking out that refuses to disolve but I don't want to go to the office cause I've gained so much weight), laser junk session, wedding dress fitting, manicure/pedicure/brows, kickball (having nothing to do with the wedding), hair coloring, shopping, trip to Portland, more shopping, spa with HG and RB for HG's b-day, exchange money, print documents, laundry and pack for Cabo - it's a lot of stuff.
Work is going well, I can start focusing on monthly and daily tasks that I have at hand. I'll be happy to hand over the budgets...
Not much else is going on - obviously wedding prep, but that's it. It's so nice not having school. I never realize how much of my time it consumes till I don't have to do it. It was very nice to have the time to go grocery shopping, tanning, and to the gym tonight without stressing over homework. I think I will probably take a long break from school after my Master's degree. Eff getting a law degree and a doctorates, at least for anyway.
After the wedding, the only thing I will have on my plate is the 3 Day, which is good because I have about $2000 I still need to raise! YIKES!! I have a couple of fundraisers in store though, so we'll see how it turns out. And of course school, but I'll get back into the swing of that easily enough.
Then I get another break in October, which I plan to go to CO for a weekend. That should be fun. All good stuff coming down the pike and overall things are pretty good. So I should probably brace for something really bad to happen. *flinch*

Madness
So a lot has happened in the past few weeks. Obviously there was Amsterdam (as detailed in the other blog), I finished up school, getting ready for the parade, catching up on work, and reeling from the weight I've gained. Then there's the wedding. I'll explain:
Amsterdam = look to other blog, but the jet lag affects, or what I think are jet lag affects, didn't quite leave me until Thursday of last week.
School = So I did end up ditching the last day of school. I slept all day in hopes that I would work on my paper in the evening. That didn't happen. At 10PM I realized that I should just hand in what I had completed for partial credit. I boot up the laptop only to realize that my most completed version of my paper is housed on my work computer (rat fink!), so I had to ask Dane to drive me to work at 10:30 on a Saturday to get my paper. We did and I handed it in about 50% complete. Since the assignment was worth 20% of the total letter grade for the class and I already had an A- I figured I'd be lucky to get a C in the class. However, the teacher said that if we did a good job on our final paper, he might redo the week four grades. Even though I didn't complete the whole paper, he said I had done such a good job on redoing it that had I finished the paper he believes it would have been A+ material (wow!). So he felt bad that all he could do was give me 15/20, which for only a 50% completed paper that was amazing. And he upped my W4 assignment grade, leaving me with a B+ for my final grade. Again, not bad considering I didn't even do the bulk of the final. Whoot whoot! So I'm on a hiatus (thank God because there's no way I could complete anything for school right now) till I get back from Mexico. My next class: Enterprise Risk (whatever that is).
Parade: So the parade is this Saturday. I feel woefully unprepared for the d@mn thing. And this year I'm wearing my Isis Wings, so I'll have HUGE props on my hands for all to see when I make a mistake. But as SC said, I'll just have to recover and move on when I make a mistake. :-) I've been practicing and plan to practice for about an hour or so each night this week above and beyond the class on Wed and dress rehersal on Thurs. Regardless, I'm looking forward to the parade still and think it will be a great time. My costume is near complete. I just need a choli.
Work: Is going well, I haven't made it in the past two weeks to make up for AMS, but I did come in 2 hours early today. I figure if I do that for the next two weeks, then not only will I get all caught up on work, I'll make up for the lost time. I came back to a happy office, Janis (the ED) even hugged me! Everyone was happy to have me back and geniunely excited to hear about my trip. Our new Director of Admin/Finance started too. I think I'm really going to enjoy working with him. He's strong in Finance, but knows Accounting well enough to help me out. I think he will be a great asset to the organization. For now I'm closing May and working on various projects and reconciliations. I have more pots on the burner than I usually like, but it's still better than TSA.
Weight: Ugh - I weigh more today than I did the day of surgery. WTF!? I ditched the vegan diet and all of a sudden I've gained 10 lbs. And I've been slacking on working out. So this week and for the next three weeks I've resolved to work out for 2 hours a day and I'm back to portion control as of tomorrow when my Lucky Palate shipment comes in. It's one thing to be overweight, it's quite another to do what I've done and then gain the weight back. I'm absolutely ashamed of myself and feel like the most pathetic loser in the world. No excuses, seriously, I have no effing excuse.
Wedding: So this week is dedicated to the Parade, but I have put a little thought here and there to the wedding. Like we went shopping yesterday for Dane and got his wedding outfit. We found my wedding shoes (which will hopefully go with the gown as I won't get the gown till 1 day before I leave for Cabo). I bought some cute, classy outfits for Mexico and will probably get more when I'm in PDX next weekend. I still need lingerie, figure out my hair situation, order spa services, nail down the vows, get the money down to Cabo, figure out the suitcase/packing situation. There are a lot of tiny details that still need to be done. Fortunately for me I can focus ALL my energy to the event after this Saturday. I have the whole plan worked out. I've had to sluff off some household duties and chores in order accomodate the wedding, but that's no biggie. The house will still be a mess upon our return, no sense in stressing now to get it done. And in other news, Dane and I have decided that we will be having a pirate wedding after all. In order to legally be married we have to have a Mexican ceremony w/ the judge all done at the courthouse. Technically our beach ceremony is entirely symbolic/traditional in the non traditional way. So we thought, shoot - if we are already going to have a formal wedding and we wont understand a lick of the Mexican ceremony, might as well have fun with it and dress like pirates.
And finally - (you won't believe this) apparently Dane's mom (Janet) and husband (Bill) are having troubles securing their timeshare for the wedding. They already purchased their airline tickets but they can't get in to their timeshare till Sunday so they need a place to stay for Saturday night. Bill called Dane to ask if he and Janet could room with Dane and I for Saturday night. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe that?!?! On our WEDDING!!! Dane said he was just in shock. He didn't know how to respond. But even if we did entertain this idea, it's an all-inclusive resort. You can't even get in the d@mn thing without having the proper credentials and/or paying for a day pass. Not to mention we could get in serious trouble for smuggling people in. The fucking nerve. My mom is so funny, she sent an email today saying that she and dad have grossly underestimated their spending money and need to stay with us in our room. I almost fell for it but then keeled over laughing. Well played, Mom, well played.

According to Blogthings IIII (okay I'm going to work now)
| People Envy Your Confidence |
You have the attitude and self esteem to take on anything. Failure is beyond not an option for you - it doesn't even cross your mind. People envy your ability to take on any challenge ... and they're secretly afraid you think you're better than them. You don't. You're just sure of yourself. |
According to Blogthings III
| What Your Peanut Butter And Jelly Sandwich Means |
Your eating style is reserved. You are a bit of a fussy eater, and you have very specific ways you like your food prepared. You don't really have a sweet tooth. If you go for dessert, you tend to go for something light. Your taste in food tends to be pretty flexible. You may crave sushi one night, and your favorite childhood recipe the next. You are probably a fairly normal, upper middle class person. You don't rock the boat too often. (not true - I live to rock the boat) You are a tough person who isn't afraid to live life fully. There isn't a lot that scares you. You are laid back and extremely easygoing. You never make a fuss, and you try to enjoy every moment. (this is also not true - I always make a fuss even when there's no fuss to make and I don't always live in the moment, though I try to) |

It's The Final Countdown!!!
Indeed - I AM going to Europe. I AM going to AMsterdAM. WHOOT WHOOT!!!
So I'm not sure if I'll get a chance to blog the next day or so. My spare time will be spent doing laundry, tanning, packing for AMS, and doing my homework. I might occasionally do some work too. Oh, and I have to go to the bank, get some euros and traveler's checks, get my ring, get a placebo ring (or maybe I'll just go sans the ring and enjoy one last trip o freedom....kidding).
While I'm gone: HG and MR will be coming over on Sunday to watch the cats. And actually HG, Nick is leaving on Friday, so y'all could even come over sooner, but it's not necessary. Anyhoot - Dane is leaving tomorrow for some sand dunes in Oregon and he'll be gone till Tuesday. Should anything happen to him, people know to call HG and my mom to contact me. Should something happen to me, people will call HG and my mom and they will leave a message for him. So the house is cared for, the kids are cared for, Dane is cared for, and I'll be having a blast!
The agenda:
Friday - travel, travel, travel. Actually my assistant is picking me up from home in the morning and then we will go to work till about noon. Then we'll go to lunch then she's going to drop me off. My flight leaves Seattle at 3:30, lands in Vancouver at 4:20 (I know, huh - wtf, actually it was a great price - GO AMY!). Then I leave Vancouver at 6:30. With any luck I can hang out on the plane, read a magazine, listen to iPod, watch a movie, eat dinner, then take a sleepy pill around what I feel is 10:00. Pass the toot out on the plane and wake up in AMS around noon *hopefully* feeling like I had a nice rest.
Saturday - meet Mimi at the Booger Fling (it was the most American, homey place we could find in Shipol Airport). Maybe get a museum card and shuttle ticket or find some way to get to our hotel. Arrive at hotel and get comfy and chatter. In the evening: big night out on the town, who knows what we will do but it's our only weekend night so whatever we do, we'll go large cause we can't go home!
Sunday - recover, chatter, find a cafe *wink*, hang out around town. Low-key party in the evening.
Monday - AMY'S BIRFFDAY!!! I have a few ideas and sooprises in store.....
Tuesday - Thursday - more of the same, hang out around town, visit some shops, ride a bike, heckle a hussie, go to a museum, visit a cafe, run naked across the bridge in a flying nun dutch hat, go to Heineken, find a goth club, drink a beer, spend money we don't have, and go to a nice restaurant.
Friday - travel all day again, leaving AMS at 3:30 pm arriving in Seattle just before 9 pm.
I'm already planning on ditching class, but who knows - maybe I'll go. Regardless of whether I go to class or not, I'll have to work. But that may be pushing it. We'll see how I feel. I have a 3:00 date on Sunday, 6/3 to go bowling in my pajamas for a work fundraiser. Maybe I can work a half day on Sat and again on Sun. We'll see. I don't want to push it and there will be plenty of time to make up time.
I have to work again on 6/9 (plus go to a 3-Day expo and have a make up/costume weekend with HG). Then there's the Fremont Parade. Then the weekend in Portland with my CT buddies. Then the wedding. THEN A SHITLOAD OF DOING NOTHING!!
That's it - after the wedding I'm laying low for a while, *maybe* a night out, *maybe* a movie. *maybe*
Wedding drama - as of yesterday I was told that my dress wasn't going to be here on time. After attempting to hang myself with the phone cord, seriously contemplating a pirate-themed wedding, then sleeping on it I discovered today that all is right with the world and my dress will be here (but only within hours of my departure to Mexico). Be that as it may, I'm going to shop for a back up dress. Which may or may not be pirate-themed.
Out.

I'm Tapping Out
I've done it. I've reached the limit for what I can handle. Over the years people have oft noted that I tend to stay busy and I like it that way. Most people would say that I have a lot on my plate, more than they would ever want to deal with at any given point in time. I've grown used to it albeit it's how I run my ship. But today I've realized that I have hit my limit. I'm tapping out. It's too much. The towel has been thrown. The fat lady has sung. The sun has set. My ship has sailed. Out.
The following list details everything that is going on in my life right now as of May 16th, 2007 at 10:55 pm.
Work
1. I've only been there two months so I'm still learning about the organization.
2. I'm still in the infant stage of understanding the financial software.
3. I'm preparing the budgets and leading the budget process for the entire organization.
4. I'm trying to wrap up April closing.
5. I have a report on April closing, Holiday Magic, and the auditors to present to the financial committee tomorrow.
6. I have to compile the 990.
7. I have to reconcile the balance sheet accounts.
8. I have to reconcile pledges.
9. I have to update and organize the W9's.
10. I have to create a policy and procedure manual.
11. Plus about a million other things like update the payroll spreadsheet, update the software for view only users and create their dashboards (it's not even worth explaining), meetings, phone calls, prepare for the audit, prepare for my time off, and of course the daily duties and activities not to mention month end shit.
Oh, and this needs to be done by next week. (yeah f*cking right) At least I get to work the next 3 Saturdays that I'm in town.
School
1. I have my usual reading, posting, and homework to do as I'm trying to earn a Master's degree.
2. On campus class on 6/2 (which I will most likely ditch).
Body
1. Workout for at least an hour.
2. Tan.
3. Laser hair removal.
4. Laser tattoo removal.
5. Surgery check ups.
6. IUD/abnormal pap check ups.
7. Hair color.
8. Eyebrow and lip tattoos.
9. Manicure/pedicure.
10. Get a massage (if I'm lucky).
11. Buy tampons (something I haven't had to do in five years).
12. Lose 10 lbs. in 6 weeks.
Wedding (let's not forget about that)
1. Plan the ceremony including the script and how/what will be said/done.
2. Get my dress tailored.
3. Get Dane's outfit.
4. Organize the rooms at the resort.
5. Organize the fun stuff surrounding the wedding.
6. Figure out when to go to the Mexican judge.
7. Figure out when to use the spa/hair styling services for the day of the wedding.
8. Figure out the final counts.
9. Figure out shuttle arrangements.
10. Take out massive loans from my credit card companies in order to pay this.
11. Get my ring fixed/made into a wedding band. Pick up Dane's ring.
Mind/Soul/House Stuff
1. Code all my finances and plan timing so I can take out the loans at the best time.
2. Figure out why UOP has charged me for school (another $1000) instead of my financial aid.
3. Figure out how to tackle the problems with Dane.
4. Laundry.
5. Feed the cats.
6. Order my food to be delivered.
7. Dishes.
8. Check email.
9. Blog.
10. Spring clean.
11. Donate clothes that I don't fit into and/or look good in anymore (as my shape has quite dramatically changed).
12. Call mom and dad.
13. Maintain contact with Peck, Amy, Sarah, and all my other out of state buddies.
Social (this is where it really gets out of control)
1. Prepare, practice for the parade (every Wednesday till June 16th).
2. Go to a movie Friday.
3. Go to a b-day party Saturday, along with work 8 hours, along with a costume class for the parade.
4. Train for the triathlon and 3-Day coming up (this is also "body" I guess).
5. Volunteer/participate for work on the following dates: 6/2 In The Mood, 6/3 Pajama Bowl, 6/7 Passages, 8/4 Back To School Festival.
6. Practice, participate in work-sponsored kickball (Mondays).
7. Go to Amsterdam 5/25 - 6/1.
8. Go to Portland 6/22 - 6/24.
9. Celebrate HG's b-ay by going to the spa 6/24 (I don't want to miss this or the spa's fried rice).
10. Go to Mexico to get married 6/29 - 7/10.
11. Shop for clothes and such for aforementioned events.
12. Raise $2200 for the Breast Cancer 3-Day.
13. Breast Cancer 3-Day expo, focus meeting training, and possible (and much needed) fundraiser.
As you can see my summer is pretty much spoken for already. Things wont stop for me until the fall, but at least little by little stuff will fall of my plate. And of course this is all on top of day-to-day activities and errands (grocery shopping, going to the bank, getting gas, eating, sleeping, paying bills, lamenting no money, playing with the cats, giving attention to Dane). You'll note that poor Dane was barely even mentioned in the above and that's quite literally because we don't have time to see each other and when we do, we fight because we are both so overloaded and overwhelmed we need to release and the only thing we can think to do is yell at each other for the stuff they don't do and the areas they are in deficit. *sigh* That's what put me over the edge. Dane pinned his troubles on me and that's when I said "I can't do this. I'm done." I can't deal with all the above AND his problems on top of that. I haven't even had a chance to breathe for myself let alone anyone else. I'm afraid that before I know it, everything will have passed me by and I won't have even noticed because I was so tied up in it all. When all the dust finally settles, what will I have to show for it? I hope more than a tattered marriage, a few photos, and huge pile of debt, that's for sure.
Anyway - so if I seem snotty or short or impatient or simply out of my mind, please do not take it personal. It has nothing to do with you, I'm quite exquisitely maxed out. If nothing else, I'll have an amazing story to tell ya when this is all said and done.
And for the record - as of October, I'm done with packing my schedule so much (I know I've said that before, but this time I really, really, really mean it). I'll have another break in school and I'll be vacationing to Colorado. The fiscal year will be closed and I will be starting the audit process so there will quite literally be nothing I can do other than that for a while. And then, when that's done....I'm going to party like it's 1999.

LOSER!
I don't like my teacher very much right now. To be blunt, he's a piece of shit. He's always asking oddly phrased questions then marking us down or condescendingly speaking to us for not "getting the point", "diving deeper", and "thinking outside the box". Then when you do those things on the next question he asks, he hammers you for not "following the directions", "reading what was obvious", and "focusing on the weekly reading and concepts".
Further more, none of my classmates (save HG) ever respond to anything I post so it's difficult to get participation. It's like they go out of their way to respond to other people and not me. I don't think I'm being particularly snotty, I dunno - maybe HG can shed some light.
The bottom line is I hate this class and this teacher, which really sucks because I think this class has some good stuff to offer. I was originally planning on going to class on 6/2 but now I think I'll just stay home and rest up from my trip to AMS. We have no team homework or presentation and I will submit my individual homework before I leave. Plus HG wont be there and I hate the assholes (except my teammates) that I'm in class with so why even bother going. I'm so ready for a break. Thank God it is happening soon. After this and next week I will be out of school till after the wedding which is awesome because between the parade, the wedding, going to PDX, work (budgets, monthend, planning for my absence, etc) and just getting everything in order I will be running around like a mad woman.
To make matters worse, Dane hates me cause I can't say why (there are some of my subscribers that would die if I really wrote out what's bothering us). Between all the surgeries (his and mine), all the weight gain and loss, and just everything that is going on we haven't been on the same page. There's actually a lot more to the story than that. If you want to know, shoot me an email - maybe you can help me.
In other news, I've created a blog dedicated to my cats. They are so d@mn cute I had to create a blog just for showcasing pictures of how adorable they are. Here's the link: http://deweyboostinker.blogspot.com/

Cause I Love My Lips
So while I was lying on the table today getting my eyebrow tattoos touched up and my lips done for the first time, I did a rough estimate of how much money I've put into fixing myself up the past year. Between the laser tattoo removal, laser hair removal, surgies, hair cut and coloring, permenant make-up, Restalyne, tanning, pedi/mani/wax, teeth whitening, eyelash help, gym membership, and personal trainer I will have spent about $30,000. Can you believe that. I can't. That's a new car. That's a down payment on a house. That's are whole wedding and honeymoon. That's half a year's salary. GROSS! That's a lot of stuff. I will say that I'm happy with the decisions I've made. Of course the money could have gone to a million other things but I have to say that I have enjoyed using the wedding as an excuse to lavishly spend on myself. Now that all these things have been done only moderate maintenance will be necessary for upkeep so I can somewhat capitalize the expense. Not to mention what it has done for me on a personal note. I'm very lucky....wait, scratch that. I feel very sad for the women out there who are married to men who would not support their decisions to do some or all of the procedures I've done. When it comes down to it, it's my money and I've been able to afford all this AND still pay off my credit cards each month. I haven't been able to save much for the wedding, but we've been staggering the costs and paying most of them off each month. That said, I can afford the stuff I've done, it's my money, and Dane has had no qualms with my decisions. I see the look in other people's eyes though when I talk about what I've done or admit that it hasn't been inexpensive and the look I get is troubling to say the least. I don't get it from everyone, thank God, but I have to wonder about the looks I do get. Ultimately this is my life. I am not harming anyone, I am not putting pressure on anyone, I am paying for everything myself - why shouldn't I do it? Why do I get the stink eye? Who knows. And quite honestly who cares. I do more than my fair share to help others, volunteer, and pull my own weight. I got a little side-tracked there. Perhaps I needed to convince myself more than anyone else that I am deserving. I wonder why we are all our own worst critics? Why is it such an internal battle to justify a frivilous activity? Well I for one aim to squash that attitude starting now!
:-)
Check it out:

This is the picture that started it all. Obviously I knew I needed to get my brows touched up and had been waffling back and forth on my lips. This picture sent me over the edge. We were at the tulip gardens in northern Washington and what would otherwise be a great picture was ruined by my lack of lips.
A better example:

Notice I have no lips?
The solution:

TA DA!!! I have lips! Now keep in mind this pic is hours after the tattooing so it will fade at least 50%. Which is almost sad, I kinda like how dark the lips are. :-)

My 200th Post!!
So this is apparently my 200th post according to Blogger. Sadly, I don't have any news to share that is deserving of such an occasion.
This past weekend was a hoot! Friday after work I attempted to go get another piercing but alas my body isn't set up for the type of piercing I wanted. Any other piercings that I want to do will have to wait till after we get back from Mexico because they take so long to heal. So after that disappointment we met up with HG, RBMBA and crew at a bar for dinner and drinks. We ended up having a really good time! Nothing special, just good food, drinks, and fun. We learned a new game from MR called "Edward Fortyhands". For the game you have two 40's strapped/taped to your hands and you have to drink both 40's before a certain time limit (flexible). The catch is you can't go to the bathroom, you can't do anything that requires the use of your hands till you drink BOTH 40's. So HG and I decided to train for this game (whenever we play it). We got a pitcher and started out with 2 pints each. HG won (though not by much). Needless to say, Dane and I stayed at HG's house but on the way home we stopped at Safeway to get the essentials: more beer, chips, salsa, etc. On the way into Safeway, I happened across a shopping cart that needed to be taken back up to the store. I say back up because the parking garage is underneath the building so you have to take an elevator to the actual store. At any rate, I jumped in the cart and made Dane give me a shopping cart ride through the garage, in the elevator and out into the store. Good times. But it gets better than that - after our purchases were made, we convinced HG and MR to go for shopping cart rides. We had a race but the dudes won because Dane's heels were shorter than mine. Stoopid shoes. After the race we went back to the house. HG and I had a "special" time talking in her room. I was all happy and giddy and bouncing on her exercise ball and she was fretting thinking I was surely going to crack my head on the dresser or something. After another two beers it was definitely time for bed for me. I crawled to the couch and time traveled to 6:36 am.
Saturday HG and I were up and at em early in the am for my hair appointment. We got breakfast then I got some more highlights while HG patiently waited. Then we went shopping at Old Navy, Victoria's Secret, Claire's, and Hot Topic. Believe it or not all that took about 3 hours. By the time I dropped HG off I was tired and fussy. I immediately went home for a nap and was this [ ] close to canceling our Saturday plans but Dane said he really wanted to go. So I put on some of my new clothes and we headed out the door. We met Angela and her fiance Mark (they are getting married in Cancun in November) and their friends for dinner at their house. It was Mediterranean themed so there was all sorts of good food and wine there. It was fun talking to everyone and learning about what they do and how they live. I was ready to call it quits at 10:30 when I ended up driving one of the gals to her friend's house to get some stuff (she was too tipsy to drive). I don't know if it was the drive or what but I got my second wind after that. We decided to go to a dive bar around 11:30 and closed the place down. I wasn't ready for bed yet so we went BACK to their house and talked, drank, and hung out. It wasn't till the sky started getting lighter that I realized it was 5:30 and definitely time to go home. Dane and I got home around 6 and laughed because we can't remember the last time we stayed out that late.
Sunday we slept in and then dedicated the whole day to watching movies. We watched De Ja Vu (great flick) and Babel (profound movie) and Borat. I just can't get enough of Borat. Eeesa verry niice.
I don't feel so bad about being lazy because on Friday afternoon I spent 3 hours clearing ivy out of a public park as part of a volunteer job for work. It was great exercise and I'm STILL sore but it felt good to do all that tactical work. Made me wish I had a part time manual labor job and part time desk job. :-)
I got a weave on Saturday. Check it out:

Pretty cute eh? It took me 2 mintues to do this look. I put my wet, freshly showered hair in a bun, put the weave around it, snapped on the headband/sash and I was out the door. FABU!
